On June 20th, the Deputy Secretary of Party Committee from Shanghai University led four guests and visited NTNU. Executive Vice President Frank Ying; Prof. Kuang-Chao Yu, Vice President for International Affairs, Office of International Affairs; Prof. Wen-Chung Kao, Executive Director of NTNU Extension, School of Continuing Education; Prof. Joseph Huang, Executive Director of Center of Public Affairs, and Prof. Chin-Pao Cheng, Dean of College of Technology and Engineering, welcomed the guests in person.
Shanghai University has become partner school with NTNU since 2014, and both sides have had numerous academic cooperation since then. During the courtesy call, both representatives focus on not only how to increase the percentage of student exchange in the future, but also discussed about the academic collaboration on mass media and environmental issues during the meeting. Both universities provided their personal thoughts on these two important topics, and everyone had a wonderful conversation.
Before the courtesy call ended, Executive Vice President Frank Ying emphasized that he looked forward to have more academic exchange with Shanghai University. The Deputy Secretary of Party Committee also mentioned that they sincerely welcome professors and students from NTNU to visit their university, and he invites NTNU to participate in the forums and conferences in the near future.
